Recent works on lattice polytopes

First I will describe recent development of franco-russian mathematical friendship, in respect with the development of Independent University of Moscow and Creation of Pro Mathematica in Paris,and will emphasize the help it has provided to russian mathematicians, and also to french mathematicians.

Then I will make a survey of recent results, and their applications, on

• counting number of lattice points in lattice polytopes ,in relation with measuring volumes (Ehrhart polynomial),computational problems
• study of lattice-free (empty) simplices
• triangulation of lattice polytopes,and recent results (in collaboration with K.S.Sarkaria) in dimension 3
