Этот мини-курс будет состоять из четырех лекций:

Program

  1. Introduction: Algebras with many multiplications, a generating function for these muptiplications, "associativity" and "commutativity" of a sort.
  2. Formal OPE - operator product expansion in five equivalent forms and the locality condition ([Kac], Th.2.3).
  3. Fields (i.e. pseudo-meromorphic series with values in End(V)) and the normally ordered product. Dong lemma.
  4. General linear field algebra and the definition of the vertex algebra (Kac's version). First properties.
  5. Goddard's lemma and Borcherd identities.
  6. Vertex algebra generated by a collection of fields: fundamental existence and uniqueness theorem. ([Kac], Th.4.5)
  7. Examples.
